Apply vinyl to clean, smooth, non-porous surfaces.
Vinyl films should be at room temperature prior to printing
To prevent edge curl, cut a π” border around eco-solvent or solvent inkjet printed images. Cutting into the printed graphic can cause edge curl as well. Heavy concentrations of ink, especially eco-solvent inks, can and will contribute to shrinking and curling of vinyls.
Always test vinyl with your ink system for compatibility prior to production.
Use lower heat settings to prevent tunneling and edge curling. The use of high temperatures during heating process to cure inks can cause films, and fabrics to expand and contract on release liners.
Humidity and temperature control are critical! Make sure the vinyl is at room temperature (70 f / 21c) prior to printing.
Removal of any possible contaminates prior to printing is recommended.
Edge seal exterior graphics to enhance outdoor durability. Apply a UV clear coat or UV overlaminating film will provide added protection.
Printed graphics exposed to extreme outdoor conditions and heavy handling must be clear coated or overlaminated.
